Commissions start with a conversation about use: what goes in the piece, how often it is washed, who holds it. From there the maker throws a small test set before committing to the full run.

1. 01Brief & budget — you tell us the use and the constraints.
2. 02Sample — one or two test pieces, glazed and fired.
3. 03Production — the batch is thrown, dried and fired twice.
4. 04Delivery — collected from the studio or packed and shipped.
